ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Thane Josef Messinger, M.B.A., J.D.
Mr. Messinger practices commercial law in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is also adjunct professor of business law at the University of Hawaii.
Mr. Messinger recently returned from an assignment in Micronesia, where he assisted in the establishment of a new court on Kosrae, the easternmost state of the Federated States of Micronesia, which is part of the former U.N. Trust Territories of the Pacific. While in Kosrae, he also taught courses in Financial Management and in Entrepreneurship, and conducted a seminar, in Yap, for Micronesian judges on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Messinger earned an M.B.A. from Texas State University, followed by a law degree from the University of Texas Law School, where he served as an editor of the Texas Law Review. In addition to The Young Lawyer's Jungle Book, Mr. Messinger is the author of a scholarly article in the Denver University Law Review.
Mr. Messinger also studied at Tunghai University, in Taiwan; at Oxford University, in England; and at Harvard Law School, somewhere in the Northeast. He has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and North America.
